The owner of Rural Bank is missing. A dozen of Rural Bank branch has closed last year that has been the reason why the money of thousand depositors was threatened all over the municipality.
This was confirmed by the journalists of Manila Representative Jaime Lopez, chairman of the House committee on Banks and Financial Intermediaries. As Mr. Lopez said, Mr. Celso Delos Angeles was not located at his home address at Sto. Domingo, Albay when they went to invite him to the committee for him to attend the hearing.
Mr. Lopez also added, “My secretary sent an invitation to Mr. Celso Delos Angeles, but he is nowhere to be found”.
The founder of the Legacy Group, Mr. Celso Delos Angeles, is not also located on his other address all over Metro Manila.
The Legacy Group is the owner of twelve Rural Bank that has been subject for closure last year which is based on municipalities where depositors were the small businessmen only.
However, Mr. Lopez said that they will not stop looking until they found Mr. Celso Delos Angeles, and to ask his explanation about the Banks that has simultaneously closed and caused uncertainty for the small depositors to get their money back.
